The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R has the same hardware as the Note 13, but a yellow body

Two months ago, the Redmi Note 13 series was launched by Xiaomi. The vanilla model of the Redmi Note 13 series comes with a 5,000mAh battery and a 108MP primary camera. It is powered by the Dimensity 6080 chipset. As of now, the company has introduced the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R. It is basically the same as the Redmi Note 13 from a hardware perspective.

What can we expect from the new Redmi Note 13R?

The major difference between the two devices is that the camera island on the Redmi Note 13R is bigger. It expands from one end to the other. Furthermore, its outer body is yellow in color. The smartphone comes in a single memory combination: 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It has a 6.67-inch OLED display. It is the same display screen that the company has been using for the last three years.

While the selfie camera within the punch hole features a 16 MP sensor, the camera on the back is, in fact, the same Samsung 108 MP sensor. It packs the same 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging. Although the phone’s hardware is essentially the same, it became a little thicker and heavier due to the additional plastic on the back for the camera island.

The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 13R is available in China for CNY1,999 ($280). Since the standard Note 13 with 12/256 GB of RAM is much less expensive at CNY1,599 ($222), down from CNY1,699 ($237), we are unsure of the target market for this phone.
