This new feature in Google’s dialer app would be a great addition to Samsung’s Phone app

According to @Kishore9196, the Phone by Google app now displays calls made using WhatsApp on the recent page, which is the call log page. The dialer app distinguishes between ordinary calls (calls made using a cellular network) and calls made over WhatsApp by mentioning “WhatsApp” under the former and displaying the network name under the latter. Additionally, it displays a call button on the call log so you may use the dialer app to place another WhatsApp call.

As of right now, it is unknown whether the new functionality is a part of WhatsApp or Google Phone. Furthermore, we are unsure if the user experienced the most recent update with beta or stable version of these applications. As more individuals begin to notice this trend, hopefully, we will learn more about that. In light of the most recent modification, I anticipate that Phone by Google will soon display calls from other messaging services, such as Signal and Telegram.

It’s possible that you are making ordinary calls with your Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet using the Samsung Phone app, which doesn’t display WhatsApp calls. We hope that it will begin to provide this feature as well. Even in the unlikely event that it doesn’t, you can always download the app, navigate to Settings » Apps » Select default apps » Phone, and select Phone by Google to make Phone by Google your default dialer. As you know, this has been a feature of the iPhone dialer for a very long time.
