TikTok extends connection with Apple Music and Spotify to more locations

The “Add to Music app” feature, which TikTok unveiled last year, enables users to instantly save a song they hear in a TikTok video to Apple Music, Spotify, or even Amazon Music. Users in the US and the UK could previously access this feature, but the platform is now expanding its availability globally.

TikTok adds more countries to its “Add to Music” feature

The function was extended to 19 additional nations in December, which included Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Following today’s expansion, over 160 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, Lebanon, New Zealand, Norway, Paraguay, Qatar, Switzerland, Taiwan, Ukraine, and Uruguay, have access to the Add to Music feature. In a blog post, TikTok states that the new “Add to Music App” option was created to make it easier for music lovers to save songs they love to their favorite streaming service so they can listen to them anytime they want.

The app will display the “Add Music” button while the user is watching a TikTok video with background music playing. The user can add that song to their own music library with only a single tap. The song is added to the default playlist in the selected music streaming service, but customers also have the option to add the tune to a newly made playlist or one they already have. TikTok can be downloaded for free from the App Store. Make sure to install the latest version of the App to get access to all latest features.
