Top 100 Richest Tech Billionaires 2017: USA Dominates Followed By China
In the top 100 richest tech billionaires in the world list, fifty of the members are American citizens. Also out of top ten, eight are Americans. Three-quarter of these Americans inhabit in California State while the rest live in eight other states. Other than this thirty-three billionaires are Asian citizens out of which more than half are from China and HongKong.
So after America, the tech industry is dominated by Chinese. These two make up most of the top hundred list.

$1 Trillion Mark Achieved:
Another interesting point in this list is that for the first time these billionaires are worth more than $1 trillion. The combined wealth of the billionaires is $1.08 trillion that is up by 21% compared to previous year.
Top three billionaires:
At the top of the billionaire list, Microsoft’s founder, Bill Gates retains his position as the richest person not just in tech but also in the world with $85.4 billion wealth. Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos is second with $81.7 billion fortune and Mark Zuckerberg is the third richest billionaire this year in the tech industry. He is also the youngest amongst the top three and the fifth youngest in 100 billionaire list 2017.
7 Newcomers to the list:
Seven newcomers have joined the list of top 100 tech billionaires. Two have returned after their position fell in 2016. Evan Spiegel is again on the list with $3.2 billion fortune. Also, his co-founder is part of the list for the first time, Bobby Murphy.
Another newcomer in the list is Nvidia CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang with $ 4 billion wealth to his name. Outcome Health CEO Rishi Shah also join the list with $3.6 billion money. He acquired the wealth after his startup, that added touch screen in doctor’s cabins become famous and raised $600 million.
Wang Lichen is the only new female newcomer in the list making the total female in the list to six.
