TPL Launched, Competition “Map My Pakistan”

“Map My Pakistan”, is Pakistan’s first ever digital mapping competition that has been launched recently by TPL Maps.

The competition is of six weeks duration. The competition witnessed thousands of application users marking out the various places they mostly visit. The sites marked ranges from schools to the most favourite restaurants.

As per the press release, top five winners of the competition would be gifted Samsung phones.

TPL Maps is a part of the TPL Corp which was introduced back in 2016 and is the first original digital mapping firm of Pakistan giving GIS-based measurable solutions to the businesses with the objective of providing data to the community.

The firm is motivating the users for adding more sites on the online map thus assisting the team to acquire its objective of having more than ten million “Point of Interests” chalked on Pakistan’s navigation application.

Adeel Hashmi—the Head of TPL Maps said that Map My Pakistan is not just a hashtag trend it is something that defines who we actually are. He added that the company’s vision is to broadly mark every location of Pakistan and we have made a huge investment of our time and resources for performing this task.

The Head of TPL Maps added that the digital map would also make substantial way for the rise of e-commerce as it would help new start-ups and businesses in the country.

Pakistan’s online maps are mostly covered by Google Maps with the maximum number of users preferring Google Maps for navigation purposes. TPL Maps is a local alternative to the world-famous Google Maps.

The company also introduced an Urdu version of its Mapping app previous year for making the online maps experience more relevant locally.
TPL intends to equip the app with many more local languages in the future as per a statement.

TPL Maps has got the largest database with more than two hundred and fifty cities and 3.2 geocoded addresses and over 300,000 kilometres of road networks mapped throughout Pakistan. It is becoming the first homegrown digital mapping company of the country providing free of cost services to the users licensed by the Survey of Pakistan.

The company has been firm in bringing the most creative, centralized location-based services and solutions for its Pakistani users. It believes in constantly updating its data within the mapping and navigation service, it also offers the largest geocoded dataset and smart search along with many other more prominent features.
