Uber’s self-driving car killed a woman in Arizona
One of the Uber’s self-driving cars has killed a woman who was walking outside of a crosswalk in Arizona, Police in a Phoenix suburb said.
According to the Police’s report, the car was in autonomous mode and was operating by the official operator of Uber when the woman was hit.

According to the email by Sgt. Ronald Elcock, the incident happened overnight but it wasn’t mentioned whether the accident occurred Sunday night or Monday morning. After the accident, the woman was taken to the hospital but she died and her name wasn’t made public.
The ride-hailing company, Uber has been testing the system of the self-driving car in Tempe and Phoenix for months. The company said in a Twitter post that it is “fully cooperating” with the investigation process and also expressed condolences to the victim’s family.
