Use OPPO’s new technology to extend RAM virtually

Recently, OPPO announced its Memory Expansion Technology – RAM Expansion – in Singapore. The company is now rolling out a similar feature – RAM+ – to Middle Eastern and African markets.

This technology would use some storage or read-only memory (ROM) and then convert it into virtual RAM. So with just a little update and your phone will boost in speed.

Using this technology, it would get easy for OPPO users to convert unused storage into RAM. Although, this won’t be a permanent feature. It would last for a while, and then the same process is to be revised to extend RAM.

With this technology, OPPO rolls out three levels of adjustments, while users could get up to 7GB of additional RAM.

To get this new technology, you have to update your smartphone with the latest (June 2021) update, which is currently available for the Reno5 Series, OPPO A94, and OPPO A74.

After downloading the June 2021 update, go to Settings > About Phone, where you will be asked to “select the amount of RAM you need and restart your device.”
