Users Can Now Report A Misleading Tweet To Twitter

Twitter has started rolling out a new feature where users can report a tweet if they find it misleading. This new feature is part of Twitter Safety and is currently available in the USA, South Korea, and Australia.

To use this feature, click on the “three-dot menu’ at the right of the screen in the Twitter app, and then click on “Report Tweet.” After that, you share the reason for which you are reporting that particular tweet. It is then followed by a selection option – “It’s misleading.” Then you will have to choose from one of three options – Politics, Health, or Something else. Then there is another step to deep dive into the subject.

That is one hefty job even for the reporter. And the company said that it could take time for the team to respond or investigate the matter. That said, the company added:

We’re assessing if this is an effective approach so we’re starting small,

We may not take action on and cannot respond to each report in the experiment, but your input will help us identify trends so that we can improve the speed and scale of our broader misinformation work.
