Users will soon be able to share screen audio with WhatsApp
The Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is about to receive a new feature. The new feature will be quite useful for users who prefer to enjoy music with their loved ones in real time. The traces of the new feature were identified in the latest beta version of the app. The information suggests that the app could soon receive a music-sharing feature for video calls.
Recently, beta version 2.23.26.18 of WhatsApp has been rolled out to the Google Play Store. According to WABetaInfo, a new feature that allows users to exchange music audio during a video conversation while using the screen-sharing option has been revealed in the most recent version. Previously, the feature was found in the beta for iOS. However, recent information reveals that the feature will be introduced to the Android version of the app as well.
Interestingly, the feature is not limited to music only. The other participants in the video call will be able to hear any audio from the person sharing their screenplays. Consequently, screen sharing during a video conference can now be a simultaneous multimedia experience for you and your friends.
According to reports, the feature won’t work if the video is not turned on. In simple words, the new feature is dedicated to video calls and not audio calls. Currently, there are no details on when this feature will arrive in the stable version of the app. Besides this, the app has recently received another feature that enables users to pin a specific message in a chat.
