Using Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets on Samsung tablets gets better

Google has announced that on large-screen devices, such as tablets, the Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets programs for Android now include a sidebar with formatting options, making it more convenient for users to access them.

The formatting options are located in a horizontal bar at the top of the screen in the Android apps for Docs, Slides, and Sheets. The small size of the bar makes it difficult to display sub-options within a major option. This requires you to tap the screen several times in order to access a sub-option, which may be extremely tedious.

With the update, all of the formatting options will be displayed on a card on the right side of the display when you select the Format option from the bar at the top of the screen. The formatting options appear more lucid and instructive because the card is spread across a considerably wider area than the bar. Google claims that this feature “reduces the number of taps needed to navigate formatting options, enabling you to more easily arrange text, tables, images, and more.” In addition, the card always displays granular options.“

Using Docs, Slides, and Sheets on Android tablets is similar to using those platforms on a desktop computer because of the formatting sidebar. Google updated the three apps and began sending out the new features. To get it on your Galaxy Tab, update them from the Play Store. As per Google, “all Google Workspace customers, Google Workspace individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts” can access the most recent feature.
