Vivo X80 Pro Flagship with Zeiss camera Launches In Europe

Meanwhile, the Chinese manufacturer Vivo has introduced the Vivo X80 Pro to the European market. The new flagship smartphone with a Zeiss camera and powerful fingerprint sensor will be available in the EU from July, our colleague had the opportunity to test the Vivo X80 Pro for a few days now.

Fast and with a powerful Zeiss camera

The top model from Vivo has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hertz. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 along with 12 GB of RAM provides decent performance. Furthermore, there is 256 GB of internal storage space (UFS 3.1), which unfortunately is not expandable. The battery has a capacity of 4700 mAh and supports fast charging with 80 watts.

The highlight of the Vivo X80 Pro is the quad rear camera, which was developed in collaboration with the German company Zeiss. In addition to a 50-megapixel main camera, there’s a 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle, 8-megapixel telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel portrait camera with the gimbal. Thanks to 360-degree stabilization, videos recorded upright are also stabilized when the smartphone is fully rotated. The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels.

Better fingerprint sensor

Another special feature is the fingerprint sensor of the Vivo X80 Pro: it has a particularly large scanning area and works pleasantly fast. Individual apps can also be secured so that they must be unlocked with two fingerprints – this means that apps can be set so that they can only be unlocked by two people together, for example. In Germany, the Vivo X80 Pro is only available in the color Cosmic Black and from July 2022 available for 1299 euros (RRP).
