WhatsApp made the announcement that it would be deleting the WhatsApp chats and media shared from the users who have not backed up their data to Google Drive. If the users have not done so then they would lose their conversation histories.
Previously, WhatsApp—the most famous instant messaging application announced about its agreement with Google for storing conversations and date on Google Drive. The auto-backup feature would allow users to reload the data on various or new Android smartphones with ease.
But the important problem is that WhatsApp is not going to provide the end-to-end encryption for the conversations or chats backed up on Google Drive. The users would have to adjust and compromise on the privacy of the WhatsApp messages once they are backed up on Google Drive.
The automatic backup to Google Drive of the chats could be turned off by following the below steps:
Earlier WhatsApp announced about launching a new feature that would permit the users in group chats to send replies privately. This feature would be saving a lot of time since there would be no need for the user to get out of the group and then search for the concerned person’s name and then type the message as now this could be done within the group easily.
