WhatsApp is getting a Dark Mode; Leak

WhatsApp is soon to get a dark mode. It had been long due. Even though the firm has not made any announcement about the availability of the dark mode officially, but it has been spotted on WhatsApp beta version 2.19.353.

As per WABetaInfo, which is famous for the meticulous analysis of the platform beta and alpha versions WhatsApp is finally working on the Dark Mode, which is a dream.

It tweeted about this feature on its social media handle.

The development team of the platform has been working on the feature for months now. The new dark mode has to be made active manually, but it could also be used in automatic mode in correspondence with the energy-saving mode of the smartphone.

The smartphones operating on Android 9 or older versions would have the Dark Mode linked to the battery levels of the smartphones. It would be activated automatically when the smartphone is getting low on battery and would be disabled when the battery levels return back to normal. Users would be getting three options to choose from which are as follows:

  • Dark Mode
  • Light Mode
  • Set by Batter Saver

Android 10 comes with a system-wide Dark mode update, hence, the devices operating on Android 10 would change the scheme colour based on their selected theme that is of light or dark.

The feature is not publicly available yet and unluckily not much information is available about the global launch of the update. But it is expected that an official announcement would soon be made by the app developers.
