WhatsApp Latest Update Adds New Individual Chat Backgrounds

Facebook’s extremely popular messenger WhatsApp has received a new update, which will certainly bring a very welcome innovation for many users. You can now set a different background image for each conversation.

At first glance it sounds like a gimmick: If desired, WhatsApp users can now give every chat an individual wallpaper for the mobile versions. However, if you think about it, this innovation can be quite helpful in everyday use, especially when it comes to better distinguish between different conversations.

If you want, you can ensure that chats with boyfriends or girlfriends, for example, have a different background than conversations with family or colleagues. In this way, you can also avoid problems that can arise from sending messages in the wrong window.

In addition to the ability to use different wallpapers for the chat window, the latest update also brings a load of new background images. If the dark mode is activated, you can also choose from a separate series of background images that are adapted to the dark display.

A total of 32 new normal background images have been added. There are also 29 other wallpapers for use in dark mode. As part of the update, Facebook WhatsApp is also equipping WhatsApp with a better search function for stickers, with which you can search through the most recently used stickers or simply find more frequently used sticker images in their categories.

The new update for WhatsApp is now available for Android and iOS and can be downloaded directly from the respective app stores.
