WhatsApp to Launch Dark Mode, As Per Reports

WhatsApp is working on a dark mode feature as per the reports. WhatsApp is a big app with extensive users’ base. It is the most widely used app throughout the world. The Facebook owned application is trying hard to make its app more user friendly and easy to use for its users.

Earlier, WhatsApp Group Update brought some interesting features for its users.

As per the reports, the messaging mobile application might be bringing the “dark mode” feature as part of its upcoming updates. If the reports prove to be true, then it would change the simple and uncluttered UI it has been hanging on to since the time of its launch that was in 2009.

According to a WABetaInfo, the messaging app has finally started working on the mode for both the iOS and Android users. They posted on Twitter about it.

Presently, the users could only change the wallpaper background for their individual chats that is available as the only option that could be used for customization.

Additionally, Facebook has also made an announcement that the launch of the feature would be for its messenger app. However, so far, no release date has yet been revealed by the firm yet.

The introduction of the dark theme would be a good decision as many other social media platforms has already released the dark theme modes.

There are many advantages of using the dark mode theme in apps. It would help in reducing the strain caused on users’ eyes while using WhatsApp at night or places where the light availability is not that good. Dark mode would also be helping in saving the battery while the app is being used for messaging.
