WhatsApp will introduce “Hide Muted Status” feature
According to a report published by WABetaInfo, the Facebook-owned messaging app Whatsapp has announced to release an additional feature called “Hide Muted status.”
As per the details, this feature will allow the WhatsApp users to remove muted stories for as long as they want. This means that if you decide to mute anyone’s story then you will find nothing if you look at the lower section of the WhatsApp stories/status.

Currently, to mute the status of anyone, all you have to do is long-press on the status update and select an option called mute it which will make the status update by that specific contact appear in a greyed-out state at the bottom of the stories window.
By using the new “hide” option next to the muted updates header, it will make a list of the muted stories and you won’t see any statues at the bottom of the status window that will also offer you a cleaner Status view.
After muting, if you decide to unmute any contact, all you have to do is to tap the ‘show’ option in the header of the window and use the unmute feature.
According to the details, this feature is currently in the development phase and start rolling out in the coming weeks.
