WhatsApp will let you schedule group calls

WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps. It’s widely used by large organizations and business platforms. Since some time, Meta has been constantly updating the platform to enhance user’s experiences. As per information via WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will let users schedule video calls.

This feature is in a testing phase, and we are not sure about its availability to the public. However, if you’re a part of Android Beta testing, you might be able to experience this feature. It must be the latest version of beta software (version 2.23.17.6).

Sometimes group calls can be made on a need-to-call basis, and other times we need to make them based on planned schedules. This feature will be handy in that scenario. As per sources, it’ll give you a specific time at which the group call will start.

You only need to press the call button if you are a member of the testing group. Within a group chat, you can also begin a call. You will be given the choice to schedule an appointment rather than make the call. A panel with the options to personalize your group call will appear at the bottom of the screen.

You can name your group call at the top of the panel and then select a voice or video call type. You may then select the day and time of the call’s start by clicking on those options.

Following this, the chat will display information about the schedule of the group call. They will have the opportunity to join the chat, which will show all the details you entered. A member who joins the call will be informed 15 minutes before it begins. Although we can’t be certain, we are confident that it will let them know when the discussion begins.

Just keep an eye out for the feature; as of right now, we don’t know when to anticipate its release. Additionally, ensure your app is continuously updated.
