Media players

The Windows 11 Media Player is still a relatively new application, Microsoft has made the updated version of the app available to the first users in the fall of 2021. It also took quite a while before the program got some important functions, for example, the media player has only been able to play CDs since March. has good Microsoft announced that the functionality related to compact discs will be expanded and that CD ripping will be supported from version 11.2206.30.0. From this release, it is possible to save the music as files on the PC, AAC, WMA, FLAC, and ALAC formats are supported here.

Camera app

Microsoft has also announced an update to the camera app, its version number is 2022.2206.2.0. The camera app has thus acquired the look and feel of Windows 11. In addition to existing support for camera, video, document, and whiteboard recording modes, the application now supports scanning QR codes and barcodes.

Movies and TV

There is also a third app that will be updated, which is Movies & TV (version 10.22061): First, the application will get native Arm64 support, so the app should offer faster and better performance on corresponding devices. On the other hand, the local view or its file type mappings migrate to the media player.
