Microsoft has released a new preview version for Windows 11 in the Insider Program. There are a few new features in this test build. This includes an update for the Narrator in Edge as well as improved customization options for the start view.
Since there was no new Windows Insider version in the past week, the preview now starts with a long list of changes. For all Windows Insiders who test Windows 11 in the dev channel, there is now an update with build number 22509. This new version brings a long list of changes, mostly bug fixes and improvements. But there are also a few new options that can be tried out. The new option for the start view is particularly interesting. You can now simply choose whether you want to display the standard view, the view with more pins, or the view with the suggestions. In addition, the date-time display is now supported on secondary monitors.
Microsoft has also worked on the Narrator feature in Edge. The insider boss Amanda Langowski and the Widnows manager Brandon LeBlanc write on the Windows blog:
“Browsing the web in Microsoft Edge with Narrator just got easier: We have worked on a number of improvements to web browsing with Microsoft Edge and Narrator. Typing in edit boxes, in particular, should now be faster, and navigating the web more useful Information is provided and, ultimately, you will have a more consistent navigational experience with Narrator. ” The Windows team has also put together an updated list of the currently known problems with the preview.
