New days bring new excitement. Today, the big news comes from Microsoft when the company announced its free Windows 11 update to eligible PCs on October 5th.

Windows 11 has been around us for quite some time. The operating system brings a plethora of new features and is going to be a gem for PC users.

According to a source, Microsoft will start rolling out the Windows 11 update from October 5th. It will gradually spread the update to eligible PCs. The rollout will start with new devices and then shift to older devices.

Microsoft expects the rollout phase for new devices to be completed by mid-2022. When available, the operating system could be updated either via the Windows Update settings option or download and install manually from the web.

The new operating system will redesign the Start menu, update UI design and sounds, widgets, update the Microsoft Store app, and gaming-related features such as Auto HDR and Direct Storage.

The new Windows 11 will also support Android apps through a partnership with Amazon and Intel.
