Several features of the upcoming flagship OnePlus 12 were recently confirmed by the company. One of the notable features is the support for wireless charging. In contrast to the upcoming flagship smartphone, the previous model of the series, i.e., the OnePlus 11, did not support wireless charging. However, the feature was offered with the OnePlus 10 Pro. For some unknown reasons, the company skipped the wireless charging feature on the OnePlus 11.
However, wireless charging is coming back to the OnePlus flagship series. It is anticipated that it will be offered in the same capacity, i.e., 50W wireless charging, as before. The news about wireless charging and other features was shared by Li Jie. The OnePlus China President also shared the camera details of the upcoming OnePlus 12.
The smartphone will receive an IR blaster like the OnePlus Open. Furthermore, another feature named ‘Rain Water Touch’ was also announced by the president. As depicted in the name, the feature might provide a responsive touch during rain or similar events. In terms of wired charging, the smartphone will feature 100W wired charging. The device will be packaged with a charger in the box. Previously, some rumors indicated that the smartphone would be powered by a 5,400 mAh battery. Some other reports indicate that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will fuel the OnePlus 12. For the display, the smartphone will feature BOE X1.
Yesterday, the company began its marketing campaign and since then, several details about the device have been shared. Even the company shared the official images of the OnePlus 12. Perhaps the device will make its international debut next year, on January 24. Whereas the smartphone will officially launch on December 5 in China.
