With a new dropdown menu, Google Docs shares documents more efficiently

Google Docs is getting a new tool to help with sharing, which will speed up and simplify real-time collaboration. A new dropdown menu that fills the entire screen is being integrated by Google Docs into the Share button. When you click the Google Docs Share button, a dropdown menu with fast actions, like copying the URL and pending access requests will appear.

Notably, all Workspace accounts as well as personal accounts in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Google Drawings will be able to utilize the new dropdown menu whenever it launches. In the meantime, Google Drive now allows users to “share timestamped links to specific parts of a video.” Businesses and educational institutions who frequently upload movies to Drive for internal usage may find this useful.

You can now share files with attendees of Google Calendar meetings using Google Drive

According to the official blog, you can share a timestamp by opening the video, pausing it at the desired time, clicking the Share icon in the upper-right corner, and choosing the newly available “Copy link” option from the dropdown menu. The web version of the functionality is accessible for both enterprise and free customers.

Additionally, you will soon be able to distribute files from Drive to Google Calendar meeting participants prior to a meeting, making sure that everyone is informed and ready for a productive working relationship. To accomplish this, click the Share option, choose the Calendar event by entering its name, make sure the relevant list of meeting participants is added, and then choose the users’ access level and click send.
