World of Warcraft: Blizzard Announces The Release Of Dragonflight for 2022

With the start of pre-orders, Blizzard is announcing the final release date for its new World of Warcraft expansion “Dragonflight”. According to this information, the ninth add-on of the well-known online role-playing game should be released this year, before December 31, 2022. Dragonflight is the first WoW expansion to be announced and released in the same year.

In addition, despite corona restrictions, Blizzard seems to be able to stick to its two-year rhythm, which has seen a total of nine expansions since the release of The Burning Crusade in January 2007 and Wrath of the Lich King in November. 2008. Prices for WoW: Dragonflight start from $49.99 in advance.

Presale with three editions and many new features

As usual, Blizzard offers three packs of its new add-on in its own store – the Base, Heroic, and Epic Edition. In addition to the Dragonflight expansion and the bonus pet Drakks, the high-quality editions, priced at $69.99 and $89.99, include a character upgrade (level 60), additional mounts and pets, as well as transmogrification items and more 30 in the largest package matchday.

With World of Warcraft Dragonflight, Blizzard introduces, among other things, a new combination of race and class – the caller of the Dracthyr with changeable humanoid and dragon forms. The focus is also on kite riding as a new form of locomotion. For the first time, the unique and customizable flying mount can be used right at the start of a WoW expansion and not until later in the game. Fittingly, the Dragon Islands will be presented as a new continent, along with an extensive rework of the talent system, a focus on professions and item production, as well as a new user interface.

There are also new dungeons and raids, as well as increasing the maximum character level to level 70. World of Warcraft Dragonflight will be released no later than December 31, 2022. The release date at the end of November would be conceivable, exactly two years after WoW: Shadowlands.
