While Xiaomi is prepping to release the Xiaomi 12 series by the end of the year, we never heard of the mini – the Xiaomi 12 Mini. Thanks to Mayank Kumar, we received a hint on this mini variant of the Xiaomi 12 lineup.
As usual, the Xiaomi 12 lineup will first release in China. Earlier reports predicted that there would be three devices – the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Thanks to the tipster, we can now imagine one more addition to the lineup.
The tipster recently tweeted:
Although it’s hard to translate every word the image above says, we still were able to break the code. So according to details, the Xiaomi 12 Mini will release in China on December 21st. It could be a 6.28-inch FHD+ flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch response. The display could sport 1500nits and it might support HDR10+.
Going under the hood, we might get a Snapdragon 870 SoC along with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Camera-wise, there could be a quad-camera setup with a 100MP primary camera with OIS, a 20MP ultrawide lens, a 5X optical zoom lens, and a 2x portrait lens. We aren’t sure about the front-facing camera.
This model will come packed with a 4700mAh battery with a 67W fast-charging support and a 50W wireless charger. Other notable features may include Bluetooth 5.2 support, Harman stereo dual speakers with Dolby Atmos, and IP68 certification. Its thickness could be 7.96mm and weighs 176grams.
A report even predicted the price of this device. According to that report, the device with an 8GB+128GB configuration would cost you ¥3599. The one with an 8GB+256GB configuration may cost you ¥3899. The third variant with a 12GB+256GB configuration may cost you ¥4299.
While the company hasn’t shared any details with us, these are just hints from industry experts and expectations. So don’t rely too heavily on these predictions.
