Xiaomi 14 appears in hands-on video ahead of launch
The Xiaomi 14 was just revealed in a hands-on video on X. This leak, which shows the device’s black version, is extremely late because the launch event isn’t until later today.
The event for the Xiaomi 14 series is scheduled to begin at 1 PM CET, noon BST, 7 AM EST, and 4 AM PST. The devices will first be released in China, with a global launch event to come later. We are still unsure of the precise date.
Just hours before its release, the Xiaomi 14 made an appearance in a hands-on video
A tipster named Revegnes provided the video. Though it will be smaller, the Xiaomi 14 will essentially have the same appearance as the Xiaomi 14 Pro. This gadget should have a 6.36-inch display, whereas the Xiaomi 14 Pro should have a display that is roughly 6.7 inches in size.
The camera island is square in shape, and the bezels are narrow
The phone’s flat display and sides are easily seen. In the middle of the top is a display camera hole. The back camera island is rectangular, and the bezels are relatively thin, though thicker than first thought. The Leica branding is also clear here.
We’re not entirely clear what material Xiaomi is using on the back, given that the quality of this video isn’t the best. Either vegan leather or matte glass; however, it appears to be the latter. The lack of a reflective backplate on this model is good news.
More official photos of the smartphone were also released by Xiaomi in addition to this hands-on leak. You can see Xiaomi 14 models in pink and black by looking at the gallery below. The white and green versions also appeared recently.
