Xiaomi finds Android 11 hard to adapt

Xiaomi is one of the fastest-growing companies in the smartphone and related industry. The company couldn’t stay away much longer from its customer base and return soon after launching one device. But the company is lacking its software side.

It’s nothing new to highlight that Xiaomi has been under heavy criticism for not including the MIUI 12.5 (Android 11) system on the new Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra out-of-the-box. But the company has a reason for this.

According to Xiaomi, 2020 was the most revolutionary year for MIUI after the MIUI V5 era. The company did two major research and development versions, which led to improvements in animation, privacy, interconnection, etc.

But adaptation to Android 11 is quite difficult. The challenges company faced with Android 11 include performance, stability, and adaptation issues for third-party applications. And this is why the company couldn’t release the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra with a fully functional Android 11.

In a statement, the company said:

“So for quite some time, the team has been working hard to optimize and repair, including layered adaptation for different performance models. Although we see a significant increase in version quality every week, this process still brings some challenges. We also want to ask everyone to understand that the stability of the version is the most important thing we are currently investing in. You will see perceivable changes in the next release”.

According to the source, the smartphone market is very competitive, with a challenge coming from the software update side. If Xiaomi slows down on its software work, the company could start losing a major chunk of its market share. The company can’t bear this, provided it just has begun its journey.
