Xiaomi Launches FlipBuds Pro For 100 Euros

Xiaomi had registered a new trademark for headphones, FlipBuds Pro a few months back and now the company is all set to launch it. The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has introduced a new addition in its headphones series, the FlipBuds Pro, new in-ear headphones with active noise cancellation (ANC). It is the new top model among the Bluetooth headphones from Xiaomi. Prices start at around 100 euros.

Like Xiaomi FlipBuds Pro, they are initially only available in China, so it remains to be seen when the new wireless headphones will also be available in Europe. Visually, they are of course somewhat similar to the Apple AirPods Pro, to which they are supposed to be a comparatively cheap alternative.

The FlipBuds Pro consists of a loudspeaker with a diameter of 11 millimeters and, thanks to the Qualcomm QCC5151 audio platform, should offer very good audio quality and at the same time offer very long runtimes. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not yet given any precise information on the capacity of the batteries in the headphones and in the associated transport case.

Officially, it only says that the FlipBuds Pro with Active Noise Canceling (ANC) switched on should offer a runtime of up to five hours of music play. Thanks to ANC, ambient noise should be reduced by up to 40 decibels. If you switch off the noise suppression, up to seven hours should be achieved.

Overall, Xiaomi promises that up to 28 hours of the runtime can be achieved, but including multiple reloads in the transport case. Of course, the case has a USB Type-C port to charge the integrated battery. Wireless charging is also offered so that the case can be charged without a cable.

The Qualcomm chip guarantees very low audio playback latencies in conjunction with certain smartphones from the Xiaomi range, according to the manufacturer. The connection to the smartphone is established via Bluetooth 5.2, whereby the aptX Adaptive Dynamic Codec Procotol is also supported.

Xiaomi is now selling the FlipBuds Pro on its Chinese website exclusively in black and is calling for a price of 799 yuan, which is exactly the equivalent of 102.58 euros.
