Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is now official
Yesterday, the Chinese company Xiaomi debuted it’s lightest and thinnest foldable in China. Reportedly, the company unveiled the MIX Fold 3 at a press event in China. Well, the company has introduced a new foldable smartphone with several unique attributes. It accompanies an impressive camera island that consists of four cameras with Leica support. It is the first foldable smartphone to feature four rear cameras.
MIX Fold 3 does bear some resemblance to its ancestor, but the two devices have some subtle differences. The major difference is the camera island. MIX Fold 3 features four cameras on the left that are accompanied by Leica branding, sensors, and an LED flash. The cover display and the main display both sport a camera hole. On the cover display, it is placed in the center, while the main display features it in the top-left corner. Furthermore, the smartphone is rated for up to 500,000 folds.
The main display of MIX Fold 3 is an 8.03-inch QHD+ foldable AMOLED display. It sports a refresh rate of 120 Hz. On the other hand, the cover display measures 6.56 inches. It is also an AMOLED panel with fullHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The main display features 2,600 nits max brightness while the cover display features 1,300 nits of maximum brightness.
MIX Fold 3 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
The MIX Fold 3 is fueled by an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It supports 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 flash storage. However, the storage is not expandable. The foldable is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. It comes with Android 13 and MIUI Fold pre-installed. The charger is packaged with the smartphone. Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 features a 50 MP main camera, a 13 MP ultrawide camera, a 10 MP telephoto camera, and a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto unit.
MIX Fold 3 comes in three variants
The 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage variant is available for CNY 8,999 ($1,239) in China. On the other hand, the model variants featuring 16GB of RAM, 512GB, and 1TB of storage are also available in China. Those two models are priced at CNY9,999 ($1,377) and CNY10,999 ($1,514), respectively. MIX Fold 3 comes in three color options.
