Xiaomi To Update Redmi Note 8, Mi Note 10 and Mi 10T Lite To Android 11 With MIUI 12

Xiaomi Phones

Long ago Xiaomi takes mulling updates to Android 11 first, and MIUI 12.5 than with one roadmap leaked weeks ago speaking of calendar updates soon they start arriving within the first months of 2021.

In any case, it has been months since the Android 11 base for MIUI 12 began to arrive first at the Mi 10 and then at the Redmi K30, to be expanding through the prolific Xiaomi catalogue very little by little, now reaching three new ones, devices such as the Redmi Note 8, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and Mi 10T Lite in certain markets.

The update packages were leaked of course via xda-developers, including a final and totally stable compilation of MIUI 12 with the latest version of Android as a base, which is now possible to download if your phones are not updated via OTA imminently.

Android 11 comes to three more Xiaomi devices, the Redmi Note 8, Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and Mi 10T Lite, which receive their first stable build of MIUI 12 with the new base in selected markets.

The three terminals, yes, receive the update package in certain regions, since the Mi 10T Lite is only updated for the moment in its global version, and not under the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G or Mi 10i brands available in China and India respectively, which we assume will update later.

For its part, the Mi Note 10 that is also sold Mi CC9 Pro in some markets also receives Android 11 in its international versions, which had lagged behind the Chinese versions already updated long ago.

The last of them is the Redmi Note 8, which updates its Chinese models surely in its last major update, as this device debuted with Android 9 Pie in summer 2019. There is no news of the update in global versions for now, but it will surely come very soon.

As mentioned, if you have one of these smartphones in the correct version and it has not yet been automatically updated via OTA, you can download the package if you want and then install it manually on your smartphone. Obviously, it is not a simple process or for all users, as a modified Recovery such as TWRP will be required, but it is not excessively complicated and in forums, you can find all the information.
