Xiaomi Black Shark 4 series is officially launching on March 23 in China. The devices will be equipped with a gaming phone display with a centred punch-hole. The device has slightly thicker bezels compared to the first generation of the gaming phone.
There are mechanical shoulder trigger buttons around the right-hand-side similar to the ones on the Black Shark 3 Pro. The fingerprint scanner sits in the middle.
The device’s back is equipped with a case with an optional fan cooling accessory with its own LED temperature display. There are three camera cutouts but no details about their specs. Though it’s expected to have a large main sensor and an ultrawide camera, it could be a large 64MP main sensor.
The Black Shark 4 series is expected to come in two models; the Black Shark 4 and Shark 4 Pro models. The vanilla variant is expected to come with the Snapdragon 870 chips under the hood, having a lower price than the Pro. The high-tier versions expected to feature the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. For their batteries, it’s expected to come with a 4,500mAh with ground-breaking 120W fast-charging, which is enough to charge the smartphone in just 15 minutes.
Moreover, the phone will feature a 6.67″ OLED panel with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The gaming phones keep up the FHD+ resolution to ensure that higher and not-so-necessary-in-smartphone resolutions will not stress GPU. In addition to this, the phone will come with a 144Hz refresh rate.
According to the source, the Black Shark 4 and Shark 4 Pro will go official on March 23.
