You Can See Summary Of The Year In Google Photos

The last days of the year are always the ideal time to look back and remember everything we have experienced during those twelve months.

We all know that 2020 has been a complicated year, but still, Google Photos wants to help you remember everything positive with a summary of the best images that you have uploaded to the platform.

Step by step, below we explain how you can see the summary of your year in Google Photos and how to share it on social networks.

How to see your year’s summary in Google Photos

We know that this year you have not been able to do great things outside the home due to “He-What-Should-Not-Be-Named” and that your Google Photos summary will probably contain images that go from home to supermarket and from supermarket to home.

Even so, it is interesting to see how this 2020 has been in the photos and videos that you have uploaded to the storage platform, especially in those months prior to confinement.

Google Photos No Longer Free For Users After June 2021

To see your year’s summary in Google Photos , follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Photos app on your Android mobile or tablet.
  2. At the top left of the “Photos” tab, you will see a section dedicated to the summary of the year. Click on it and you will access the summary, in which the images will follow one another in the style of Instagram Stories.
  3. To share one of the memories that make up your photo book, click on the Share button in the lower right corner, and select the social network where you want to do it. In addition, you can edit each memory to add a caption to it, as well as add or delete some of the images that make up the summary.

Google knows that this has been a difficult year, and for that reason perhaps it has changed the title that is used to give this recap of the year. Instead of being called “The best of 2020”, as would be the normal thing, it has opted for “Year in summary”.

This feature of Google Photos is available for Android and iOS devices. If it hasn’t reached your mobile yet, you just have to wait a few hours for your summary of the year to appear at the top of the Google Photos app.
