YouTube Kids is to get its own website.

YouTube is all set to launch a separate website for children after the Google-owned service was pinpointed and inquired for showing indecent videos to the kids on its main site.

An online version of the YouTube Kids mobile application would go live by the end of this week, as per a statement issued by the company on Wednesday.

Additionally, YouTube Kids is getting a new filter, which would permit the parents to set the content which is age-appropriate.

YouTube also informed that its kid’s app and website would be getting new categories for various ages.

Preschool would be for the children who are 4 years of age and younger. Younger is for the kids who are between the age of 5 to 7. While older is for the kids between 8 to 12 years of age.

Earlier, parents would have to download the YouTube Kids application to a mobile device for accessing the filtered version of YouTube.

YouTube has been under backlash for showing inappropriate, misleading and many a times violent videos spread on its service.

As per the reports of Bloomberg News, YouTube executives were not willing to address the issue as they were only in the pursuance of active viewer engagement targets.

As per YouTube, the new experience would go live later this week.
