YouTube Videos Correction In Works For Creators

One of YouTube’s big problems is going away: creators will be able to correct videos that have already been uploaded.

Youtube wants to end one of the most repeated complaints by the thousands of creators who use the platform to share their videos with the rest of the world. The company has announced that, very soon, it will be possible add corrections to videos that have already been uploaded in a simple way.

The function has already started to appear in the control panel of some creators, and it is expected that, with the passing of days, it will end up reaching everyone. Thanks to this function, it will be possible to add video annotations with which to indicate where in a clip there is an error needed to delete the old video and upload a new one.

This is how YouTube corrections work

The icon of YouTube, the video platform par excellence. YouTube has implemented a review system that does not allow replacing the original video with a corrected one. Instead, it has been decided to add the possibility embed text boxes that show the corrections at specific moments of the video. Corrections on YouTube allow you to add revisions to already uploaded videos.

After adding a correction — or several — to a video, when playing it, a notice in the upper right corner of the player indicates to the person watching the video that corrections have been added to this. By tapping on this warning, it will be possible to see all the changes made from the same menu. It may not be the ideal solution to the problem of the videos with errors but it is certainly a step in the right direction, and more than one creator will appreciate that Google has finally decided to implement it on the platform.
