59 Chinese Apps Got Permanent Ban In India

India’s Minister of Information Technology on Monday issued a notification banning 59 Chinese-made mobile applications, including TikTok, stating that the ban has been imposed on a permanent basis. According to reports, India had banned the companies in June last year, after which they were given an opportunity to present their views, but the companies did not cooperate in terms of security and privacy policy.

The banned applications include Bite Dance, TikTok, T-Cent Holding, VChat, Alibaba UC Browser and others. The notification said that the decision to impose a future ban was taken after consultation with security experts.
