Solid-state buttons may not be available on the iPhone 15 Pro after all

Until now, everyone knew that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max would feature solid-state buttons. It was confirmed by several reliable sources out there. However, it seems like Apple is planning a change for the upcoming series. Some recent pieces of information suggest that for the iPhone 15 Pro series, Apple apparently abandoned its idea of using solid-state buttons.

The basic reason behind this move is unknown. However, some speculations and assumptions point out that the company might be facing some technical issues. Well, this recent information about abandoning the solid-state buttons comes from reliable sources like the Haitong Tech analyst, Jeff Pu, and Ming-Chi Kuo.

According to Pu, the complexity of the design was the reason behind this action. Inside the iPhone, the new buttons would require three new haptics engines. The company requires some time to address these issues. So, things will unveil y the time the new “Pro” series surface officially or unless we hear something from the company about this. Pu mentioned particularly about the volume button.

It appears as Ming-Chi Kuo referred to solid-state buttons in general. It is expected that the power/lock button will likely stay physical. Well, nothing can’t be said about the rumored customizable action button that is anticipated to substitute the mute switch.

This is all quite strange. Since we have come across CAD-based renders of iPhone 15 Pro did appear. They showed the solid-state buttons, and the action button too. Although Apple appeared prepared to make the adjustments, it now appears like the corporation will have to turn back.

Well, things will unveil with time. The company is likely to introduce the iPhone 15 series in September.
