For users of Galaxy devices, Samsung News debuts as a one-stop news source

The South Korean conglomerate has something exciting for the Samsung Free app. Reportedly, the company has rebranded the Samsung Free app for US users. the app has been rebranded to Samsung News. Now, the app is accompanied by a visual as well as a functional makeover. The new version of the app will provide users with a daily news experience in one place. The new updates have started rolling out. It will arrive on all compatible devices in the few upcoming weeks.

On most Android devices, google Discover can be accessed by swiping left on the homescreen. As a response to this, Samsung has launched Samsung News which can be accessed in a similar manner on Galaxy Phones. Originally it debuted as Samsung Daily. In 2020, it was renamed to Samsung Free and now in 2023, it is getting a new name Samsung News.

Well, this change is not merely a name change. The company states that app will be a one-stop place for all of the daily news requirements. The app will provide morning and evening news briefings. Users will have access to top headlines on a daily basis. A staff of skilled news editors, according to the company, will choose the content for these briefings based on your preferences.

You can simply access the app’s news feed, which provides you with a categorized flow of news from Samsung’s partners. In the “Following” menu, you can even follow publishers to receive their most recent stories. You can get news and entertainment podcasts from your favorite authors and publishers in the Samsung News app. These podcasts can be heard just inside the app.

Samsung News has over 20 news publishers

The company states that Samsung News will present news stories from New York Post, Parade, POLITICO, Refinery29, Reuters, Salon, Slate, Sports Illustrated, Glamour, GQ, HuffPost, Money, Newsweek, Bloomberg Media, CNN, Fortune, Fox News, The Daily Beast, TheStreet, USA TODAY, and Vice. More news partners will be added to the service over time.

The users of Samsung in the US will receive the updated version of the app within the next few days. Users will be able to access Samsung News by swiping left on their Device’s homescreens.
