Nubia NaviX Ultra Smartphone: AI takes over operation for the user

With the NaviX Ultra, the ZTE subsidiary Nubia has presented the NaviX Ultra for the first time, a smartphone with “agentic AI” intended for commercial marketing. The high-end device is intended to automatically execute tasks across multiple apps after the user has given a single command.
Nubia relies on large language model & GUI monitoring
The Chinese smartphone provider Nubia, a kind of spin-off of the network supplier ZTE, has presented the Nubia NaviX Ultra, a smartphone that relies heavily on the use of “artificial intelligence” for operation. Users should communicate with the device primarily via voice, while the AI assistant takes over control of the various functions and apps. Basically, it is still an Android-based smartphone with high-end features, which is also reflected in the interface. Through a profound integration of an AI assistant called Doubao, it should interact with a variety of apps and services and thus be able to automatically carry out many tasks as an “agent” on behalf of the user.
AI model should be able to operate system-wide
If the owner presses the large, orange AI button on the side of the device, the Doubao assistant can be commissioned using a voice command. The Chinese portal cites as an example MyDrivers For example, you can tell the device to collect information on a specific topic and send it to specific contacts. The AI then starts a search for the information across various apps and services, collects it automatically and sends the information, images or other content to the desired contacts. If you want to change the color of a person’s clothing in a photo, the system-wide AI should be able to do this on command using certain apps.
In order for the whole thing to work, the AI captures the content of the screen and then simulates human clicks, swipes or other navigation steps in order to take over the operation of the device across multiple apps and no longer have it carried out entirely by the user, it is said. The technical equipment of the ZTE Nubia NaviX Ultra is apparently based on the needs of the AI assistant. To implement the features, Nubia integrates the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 high-end SoC in combination with 16 gigabytes of RAM and 512 GB of internal flash memory. There are three 50-megapixel cameras on the back of the device, while the entire package is housed in a housing with a metal frame and a glass back. The display is a 6.78-inch OLED panel.
