Some information about the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset

The chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 was a huge success for Qualcomm. It introduced a huge performance leap. In contrast to other chipsets, it was quite efficient. It has been utilized in various flagship smartphones of different companies. Samsung has utilized a modified version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for its flagship Galaxy S23 series. This year, the company is set to introduce the successor of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

According to some fresh pieces of information by a noted tipster, the company will unveil the upcoming chipset with new CPU architecture. It is expected to feature significantly improved clock speeds. Besides this, the information indicates that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will have one prime Cortex-X4 CPU core clocked at an unprecedented 3.7 GHz. Furthermore, it will feature five powerful cores for performance and two small cores are dedicated for efficiency.

As per the information by Digital Chat Station, the new chipset will carry the model number SM8650. The GPU of the upcoming chipset is termed Adreno 750. It seems like TSMC will continue manufacturing the chips. However, there will be a transition from N4 to N4P node. N4P is also the 4nm process technology however, it has improved efficiency.

One of the main reasons behind TSMC not adopting the 3nm technology is the production cycle. On the other hand, N4P is good enough and affordable as well. Taiwanese factories are all set for mass production as soon as the phone companies are done with the trial phase.
