New Quick Share is set to be released by Samsung for its tablets and phones

Samsung has already made the latest version of Quick Share public, and the new file-sharing technique could soon be available on Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It was revealed last month that Google and Samsung may be collaborating to merge Nearby Share and Quick Share, and the news was made earlier this month.

The updated version of Quick Share, which includes Google Nearby Share, is now available on the Galaxy Store via 9To5Google. While it wasn’t available for installation on our Galaxy S23 Ultra running One UI 6.0, it suggests that a release could be coming soon. Samsung could make it available to existing Galaxy smartphones and tablets running One UI 6.0. While the update could be released alongside the One UI 6.1 upgrade, the fact that it is available as a standalone app on the Galaxy Store suggests that users will not have to wait for the One UI 6.1 update to use the new version of Quick Share.

New Quick Share Galaxy Store Phones & Tablets

Samsung and Google each have their own file-sharing platforms, and while Samsung devices supported Nearby Share, the South Korean company prioritized Quick Share on its phones and tablets. Furthermore, Nearby Share was not as fast as Quick Share. So, the firms banded together and did something practical. They consolidated their file-sharing systems into a single service, which is currently named Quick Share. All non-Samsung Android smartphones and tablets will also receive an update to Nearby Share, which will be rebranded as Quick Share.

Quick Share’s new version is now available on the Microsoft Store for devices running Windows 10 and Windows 11. We could soon witness a merging of Samsung’s Quick Share and Google’s Nearby Share for Windows apps. A streamlined and universal file-sharing method brings the overall experience closer to Apple’s AirDrop, which is available on all of its devices, including phones, tablets, laptops, and PCs.
