Google Announces I/O developer conference Save The Date for May 20-21

Google has officially confirmed that its much-anticipated annual developer conference, Google I/O, will take place on May 20-21, 2025. The event will be held at its usual location, the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, just a stone’s throw from Google’s headquarters (traffic permitting, of course!).
The two-day conference will feature a mix of public announcements and developer-focused sessions. It all kicks off on the morning of May 20th with a keynote speech by CEO Sundar Pichai, setting the stage for the latest innovations and announcements. Following the keynote, developers can dive into smaller, focused breakout sessions designed to inspire and educate.
Last year’s I/O was dominated by news surrounding Gemini, Google’s generative AI platform, and it’s safe to assume that AI will once again take center stage this year. With fierce competition from players like OpenAI and DeepSeek, Google continues to push the boundaries of AI innovation.
Can’t wait until May? The I/O 2025 website is already live, offering a sneak peek at previous developer content. Check out resources like Gemma, Google AI Studio, and NotebookLM to get the creative juices flowing.
Mark your calendars because developer season is heating up. NVIDIA’s GTC starts it off on March 17-21, followed by Microsoft Build from May 19-22 in Seattle, and Apple’s WWDC in June. It’s shaping up to be an exciting season for tech enthusiasts and developers alike!
