Resident Evil: The first scary teaser for the new movie is here

Constantin Film is bringing Resident Evil back to the cinema and has the reboot directed by a real expert in horror cinema. The first teaser trailer is now available, providing a foretaste of the oppressive atmosphere of the film.
Reboot for the cult horror
There have been a few attempts to adapt Capcom’s Resident Evil series for the cinema, but some of them were only moderately successful. The new reboot is also based on the template of the same name, but unlike the recent Welcome to Raccoon City (2021), it does not tell a well-known story. There are also no references to the films starring Milla Jovovich. Instead, the film brings a new character to the fore with the courier driver Bryan, for whom a seemingly harmless assignment turns into a horror trip. As the first teaser trailer reveals, Bryan is supposed to deliver a biomedical package to a remote hospital – and is involved in a car breakdown. While looking for help or at least a phone, he stumbles into a seemingly recently abandoned house, only to find himself a short time later in a nightmare from which there is no escape.
New horror from the Weapons director
Resident Evil is directed by Zach Cregger, who has already proven his talent for extraordinary horror with films like Weapons and Barbarian. Cregger also co-wrote the screenplay with Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead, John Wick: Chapter 4). In addition to Austin Abrams as Bryan, Resident Evil also stars Paul Walter Hauser, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis and Johnno Wilson. The film will be released in this country on September 17, 2026, and in the USA it will be released in cinemas a day later.
