Chinese Telecom Companies Cutting Roaming Fees: Offer Corporate Incentives
Three large government telecom companies in China are planning to cut the domestic roaming fees and offer corporate incentives to small and medium enterprises, in order to encourage small companies to adopt network technology of their own like; could computing.
Companies including China Telecommunications, China Mobile Telecommunications and China United Network Communications will eliminate provincial roaming costs by October. Chairmen of three companies told news reporters on Monday.

Chairmen also told reporter that their Hong Kong based subsidiaries will also put an end to roaming costs; they will also offer discounted prices for corporates and businesses.
In a broader sense, the government policy to increase capacity and efficiency in traditional industries four key initiatives; lowering the telecom costs, elevate consumer spending, cut corporate operating expenses and encourage companies to adopt network technology are the precursors of this development policy.

Government has also introduced competition in the prices of telecom sector by involving private firms and allowing them to sell telecom services.
Ministry of information industry and technology said, they received 198 applications from private firms to sell broadband services out of which 42 companies were approved to resell services which started back in 2013.
