All about the Upcoming Google Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet

Google is currently preparing for the developer conference I/O, which will probably be the big launch party for the Google Pixel 7a and the Google Pixel Fold as well as the Google Pixel Tablet this year. Leaks now reveal dates and prices for the new devices.

Both the YouTuber Jon Prosser and Max Weinbach from 9to5Google have been able to find out various details about the planned market launch of Google’s new Pixel products. The Google I/O will be the launch platform for all new devices on May 10th. The Google Pixel 7a will be the only one of the new devices to go on sale immediately after the launch and will therefore be available from May 11, 2023.

Pixel 7a launches right after Google I/O, Pixel Fold, and Tablet in June

The entry-level price of the new Google Pixel 7a, which is said to be equipped with the same Google Tensor G2 octa-core SoC as the Pixel 7 Pro, will start with an official retail price of 499 US dollars. This increases the price by $50 compared to the direct predecessor, the Pixel 6a. It remains to be seen whether and how much the price will also rise in Europe.

Google’s first smartphone with a folding display will be very expensive

If you want to own the new Google Pixel Fold, the Internet group’s first smartphone with a foldable display, you’ll obviously have to dig a lot deeper into your pockets: Google wants to call a whopping 1799 US dollars for the basic model with 256 GB of internal flash memory.

For the time being, Google’s folding smartphone will probably remain an absolute niche product. In this case, availability should only be given from the end of June. The device is said to be available in the US from June 27, 2023. It is unclear when the folding smartphone will start in Europe.

The Google Pixel Tablet will be available in a total of four colors, and the scope of delivery always includes a corresponding dock. Google is positioning the tablet as a kind of hub for Google Home to operate its own smart home products. There is no information about the price here. The Pixel Tablet will reportedly be available in June.
