Wi-Fi 6 is the next-gen wireless technology earlier known as the 802.11ax. Wi-Fi 6 offers faster wireless speed designed to deliver supreme Wi-Fi performance in device-crowded environments.
As per the Wi-Fi Alliance, Wi-Fi 6 will be launched later in 2019. A few routers that do support Wi-Fi 6 and are in the market include Netgear Nighthawk AX8 and AX4, TP-Link’s Archer AX6000, and the Asus RT-AX88U.
Also, Wi-Fi 6 compatible client devices will also be needed like Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone. The laptops that will support Wi-Fi 6 were announced at CES including Alienware notebooks.

As soon as Wi-Fi 6 will launch in 2019 we can expect the launch of supporting routers and client hardware in 2020.
Wi-Fi 6 client devices like Samsung’s Galaxy S10 price will be around £799 or $899. TP-Link’s Archer AX6000 presently weigh is around £300 or $350 and Asus RT-AX88U price is around £300 or $325.
Wi-Fi 6 will operate over 2.4GHz and 5GHz and it will be faster than its predecessors. It claims speed by 37% in comparison to Wi-Fi 5. Wi-Fi 6 is aiming to facilitate better performance in public places.
Thus, overall Wi-Fi 6 offers better battery life via the technology called Target Wake Time (TWT).
