Amazon Chat App Anytime Could Be Released—Anytime

AFTV News has confirmed that Amazon is working on its new app, The Amazon messaging app will come up with the name “Anytime”. It is still not confirmed, what type of final product it will be and what the features are, but Amazon has started surveying its customers about the features they might like, to be added in the final app.

It seems Amazon is trying to convert new ideas into working app. By surveying customers they can get tons of ideas and problems related to messaging apps currently available in the market. AFTV News also explains the app could be all-in-one feature rich service that might be a new competitor for social networks.

Amazon is focusing on messaging, voice, video and photo sharing, users would be able to apply @mention tags, apply filters to images and videos, use GIF’s and stickers and also play games.

According to the survey images, the users would be able to make Audio/Video calls, to others including groups, contact companies to order goods or even make reservations. The service will be of course secure and encrypted, available for both desktop and mobile devices.

Amazon started moving towards technology from a retail business to technology business like; Facebook and Google since 2007, when the company first launched Amazon Kindle in the market. Amazon has launched a variety of tech products lately including Amazon Echo, Alexa, Amazon Dash, Amazon Drive, Amazon Go, Amazon Web Services and many other content related services.

The company recently has announced Chime which is a video conferencing app for business customers. The app is poised at competing for other conferencing apps such as; Skype for Business and WebEx.

However, Amazon has not commented on the new messaging app development yet, the new app appears to be competing for messaging apps like Facebook and WhatsApp.

This might be the good time for Amazon to jump in because, Facebook has recently decided to roll out ads in the messaging app which could be irritating for some users, WhatsApp owned by Facebook could be the next one to feature ads on their app. This will definitely create some room for Amazon to attract the market with new features and ads free.
