In September 2025, Amazon Prime Video relies on a mixture of superhero action, reality TV and exclusive film premieres. On September 17, the second season of Gen V, the spin-off of the Emmy-winning series The Boys. The first three episodes are published at the start, followed by a new episode until the final on October 22nd.
The new season is directly linked to the events of the fourth The Boys season. After Homelander’s seizure of power, the world of Godolkin University has fundamentally changed. People and supesers are now being taught separately, while prison -like barricades surround the university site. The new dean transforms the students into soldiers and subjects them to a training session that is reminiscent of the hunger games.
Ice Road 2: Vengeance with Liam Neeson starts as an exclusive Prime video premiere on September 3. The action thriller does without a theatrical release and appears directly on the streaming platform. Superhero fans can also look forward to a selection of comic films, including Blue Beetle, The Flash and both Suicide Squad films.
The German Reality Show The Summit will start on September 26th. Twelve celebrities, including Felix von Jascheroff and Giulia Siegel, face various challenges in the New Zealand wilderness. The goal: reach the summit of a mountain and win one million euros. The show follows the international format, which was already successful in other countries.
