Disney and Marvel Television have released a first trailer for the new series VisionQuest, in which Paul Bettany once again plays the android Vision. But other artificial intelligences from the MCU, especially Ultron, are also returning. It starts in October.
VisionQuest is the conclusion of a trilogy that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024. The new series from executive producer Kevin Feige focuses primarily on Vision or White Vision, who was able to escape his pursuers and go into hiding after the end of WandaVision, but has since been searching for his identity and a new meaning for his existence. Various AI characters from the MCU, who are also part of his programming, are supposed to help him with this. These primarily include Tony Stark’s JARVIS (from which Vision was originally created), its successor AI FRIDAY, EDITH and even the enemy AI Ultron.
However, when a bounty is placed on Vision and he is pursued by the bounty hunter Paladin (Todd Stashwick), among others, he is forced to flee his inconspicuous life again in human form. He then comes across a mysterious boy who could be a reincarnation of his son. In addition to Paul Bettany and Todd Stashwick, the new series also stars James Spader (Ultron), Ruaridh Mollica (Tommy Maximoff), James D’Arcy (JARVIS), Orla Brady (FRIDAY) and Emily Hampshire (EDITH). VisionQuest is directed by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali and Terry Matalas. The series starts: on October 14, 2026 worldwide on Disney Plus.
