AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX Images Leaked On Social Media Before Launch

AMD would like to present the new RDNA 3 graphics chips on November 3rd. In the run-up to the presentation, the first images of the Radeon RX 7900 have now appeared. The photos show a prototype and should not yet represent the final design of the upcoming graphics card.

The images were published by Twitter user 9550pro. The upcoming Radeon RX 7900 XTX model should be visible in the pictures. Furthermore, the graphics card is compared with the already available Radeon RX 6900 XT. While the cooler should already be final, the PCB could still be revised in the time leading up to the release. The three fans have a diameter of 80 millimeters each. Compared to the previous model, the graphics card should be a bit longer. Power is supplied via two eight-pin connectors.

The debugging ports on the back should confirm that the version shown in the photos is just a prototype. However, the three red stripes were already shown in the official teaser image and indicate that it is actually a graphics card with the RDNA 3 architecture.

RDNA 3 is said to bring more than 50 percent better performance. The GPUs represent the first graphics cards based on a chiplet design. Several dies are combined into one large package.

The launch will take place on November 3rd

Almost two weeks ago, the manufacturer announced that the new graphics chips based on the RDNA 3 architecture would be presented on November 3rd. The launch is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. GMT and can be viewed via a YouTube live stream. However, the graphics cards will only be available in stores at the beginning of December.
