Apple iPhone 14 Pro: New images show no notch in the top model

New renders of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro, expected in the fall, confirm the rumors of an iOS smartphone without a notch, but with a striking cutout for the front camera and Face ID sensors. The manufacturer must adhere to the current 6.1-inch format. While the design of the iPhone has changed only slightly in recent years since the introduction of the iPhone X and the notch, Apple was set to break new ground, at least on the smartphone front.

For months, analysts and the rumor mill have expected that with the launch of the iPhone 14 Pro, the manufacturer will say goodbye to its signature notch and instead follow the trend towards a perforated design. Now further footage supports this idea, which the blog 91mobiles Gift.

No design changes expected except for the notch

The published CAD views again point to a pill-shaped cutout along with a second circular camera hole. In the future, they should house more compact facial recognition optics Face ID, and a selfie camera. So far, no further optical innovations can be expected from the iPhone 14 Pro. The back and side bezels are very similar to the currently available iPhone 13 Pro.

The bloggers also want to know from industry-related sources that Apple will probably again focus on the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch format (Max) this year. The first predictions about the specifications of the iPhone 14 Pro point to a typical hardware upgrade. The new smartphones would have the Apple A16 Bionic chip and six gigabytes of RAM. There is also a 48-megapixel main camera. However, the innovations could only be reserved for the Pro models.

Rumor has it that the “regular” iPhone 14 will continue to ship with a classic notch and the older Apple A15 Bionic processor, while the iPhone Mini is expected to be discontinued eventually.
