Auto-playing GIFs are being tested by WhatsApp

WhatsApp is a popular communication platform. The communication platform keeps adding new and useful features. besides this, WhatsApp hosts a healthy beta testing community. Beta users often experience various new features. As per fresh information, WhatsApp is working on a new feature. Reportedly, the platform is about to introduce auto-playing GIFs to the app.

Such a feature is useful for users who utilize GIFs for communicating. Normally, GIFs only play when a user clicks on them. With this new update, the GIFs will play automatically for users when they scroll them.

The feature is still in the testing stage

The latest feature was spotted in the latest version of the beta app for Android (version 2.23.10.2). The latest update is only available to a few users. For this reason, the feature will take some time before arriving in the public version of the app.

What else has WhatsApp been up to?

Currently, WhatsApp is also testing a feature that will enable users to share statuses directly to Facebook. Using this feature, users will be able to share WhatsApp directly on Facebook without leaving the app. In this way, users can keep their friends and family updated with stuff. Such a feature will be beneficial for users who are active on both social media platforms. It can take some time until this feature is released because it is still in beta testing.
